New Sexy Looks, New Stunning Performance
Other Super Naked models are often no more than supersport models with the fairings removed, so the scope of the design is limited. As the new 2010 Z1000 ABS was designed from scratch, there were no design limitations and the results speak louder than words. The new Z1000 boasts stunning visual impact with a healthy dose of power thanks to the new engine.
The Z1000 development focused on the excitement derived from riding a sport bike on the street. Engine tuning focused on the feeling the rider gets when twisting the throttle. Open the throttle at any speed and the engine pulls strongly, so sit back and enjoy the experience of the all new 2010 Z1000 ABS.

New High-Torque Engine
Tuned for performance, the all new 1,043 cm3 engine offers greater
power and torque than that of its predecessor. The engine spins up
noticeably faster from 7,000 rpm onwards and the silky smooth response
from mid-high rpm ensures excellent driveability. |
 |
New Cool Air System
Cool air is routed to the airbox from stylish looking ducts above the
shrouds and through the frame to minimise power loss due to heated air.
Not only resulting in more power, the intake sound is greatly enhanced
as well, audible to the rider thanks to the positioning of the ducts. |
 |
New Short Muffler
The all new 2010 Z1000 ABS receives a new 4-into-2 exhaust
system featuring quad style mufflers. Using a shorter muffler and
under-engine pre-chamber offers improved mass centralisation and a lower
centre of gravity. |
 |
New Aluminium Chassis
With the new 2010 Z1000 ABS, Kawasaki engineers wanted quick-steering
and light-handling. They got exactly that thanks to a new aluminium
backbone frame designed specifically for the 2010 Z1000. Similar in
concept to the ZX-10R, the frame beams go over the engine allowing a
narrow construction that is easy to grip with the knees. |
 |
ABS Front and Rear Petal Discs
The all new 2010 Z1000 ABS receives ABS. The front brake’s radial
mount calipers and radial pump master cylinder offer formidable stopping
power and superb braking control. The rear caliper is mounted below the
swingarm freeing up space for the ABS sensor and resulting in a more
racy look. |
 |
New Control Panel
The new fully digital instrument panel includes digital
speedometer, bar-style digital tachometer, odometer, two trip
meters, fuel gauge and clock. The meter can also be easily
repositioned using the adjuster on the left hand side. |
